Introduction
ULN2003AL is a high-voltage, high-current Darlington transistor array consisting of seven silicon NPN Darlington pairs. All units share a common emitter, and each unit features an open-collector output. To improve output efficiency and reduce leakage current, each unit incorporates suppression diodes and appropriate base-emitter resistors. Each Darlington pair in the ULN2003AL includes a series 2.7K base resistor, enabling direct compatibility with TTL and CMOS circuits at 5V operating voltage and allowing direct handling of data that would otherwise require standard logic buffers. The ULN2003AL supports high operating voltages and large operating currents, with a sink current capability of up to 500mA and an off-state voltage rating of 50V. Outputs can also be connected in parallel under high load currents, making it an excellent solution for applications requiring multiple interface driver circuits.
