Introduction
The OPAx277 series precision op amps are drop-in replacements for the industry-standard OPA177. They offer lower noise, wider output voltage swing, and twice the speed while drawing half the quiescent current. Key features include ultralow offset voltage and drift, low bias current, high CMRR, and high PSRR. Single, dual, and quad versions share identical specifications for maximum design flexibility.
The OPAx277 series op amps operate over a ±2V to ±16V supply range with excellent performance. Unlike most op amps that specify performance at only a single supply voltage, the OPAx277 series is specified for real-world conditions — a single set of limits applies across the ±5V to ±15V supply range. High performance is maintained even as the amplifier output swings to its specified limits. The extremely low initial offset voltage (±100μV maximum) typically eliminates the need for user trimming. However, the single-channel version provides external trim pins for specialized applications.
The OPA277 op amps are easy to use and free from the phase reversal and overload problems found in some other op amps. They are stable at unity gain and deliver excellent dynamic performance under a wide range of load conditions. The dual and quad versions feature fully independent circuitry for minimum crosstalk, preventing interaction even under overdrive or overload conditions.
