74HC595D-HX is a high-speed silicon gate CMOS device with pin compatibility with Low-power Schottky TTL (LSTTL) circuits, compliant with JEDEC standard No. 7A. The device consists of an 8-bit serial shift register with a storage register and 3-state outputs, where the shift register and storage register have independent clock signals. During data shifting, data is transferred on the rising edge of the shift clock SH_CP; during data storage, the rising edge of the storage clock ST_CP transfers data from the shift register to the storage register. If both clock signals are connected together, the data in the shift register always leads the corresponding storage register by one clock pulse. The 74HC595D-HX shift register features a serial input (DS), a serial output for cascading (Q7'), and an asynchronous reset (active LOW). The eight internal parallel outputs are provided via a 3-state driver bus. When the output enable pin (OE) is LOW, the outputs operate normally; when OE is HIGH, the outputs enter high-impedance shutdown mode. The 74HC595D-HX is available in SOP16 and DIP16 package options.
