Introduction
The CD4066D is a quad bilateral analog switch designed for analog or digital signal transmission or multiplexing, featuring low on-resistance that remains relatively constant across the full input signal range. The device contains four independently controlled switches, each with a dedicated control pin. The control signal simultaneously biases both the P-type and N-type devices within each switch to turn them on or off. The substrate of the N-channel device in each switch is connected to the input signal terminal (when the switch is on) or to VSS (when the switch is off). This configuration eliminates the variation in switch transistor threshold voltage caused by input signal fluctuations, thereby achieving low on-resistance across the entire operating signal range. The device is available in SOP-14, TSSOP-14, DIP-14, QSOP-16, and QFN-16 packages.
