Introduction
LDC1312 and LDC1314 are 2-channel and 4-channel 12-bit inductance-to-digital converters (LDC) for inductive sensing solutions. With multiple channels and support for remote sensing, LDC1312 and LDC1314 can achieve high-performance and reliable inductive sensing with the lowest cost and power consumption. These products are easy to use and only require the sensor frequency to be in the range of 1kHz to 10MHz to start working. Due to the wide supported sensor frequency range of 1kHz to 10MHz, very small PCB coils can also be used, further reducing the cost and size of the sensing solution.
LDC1312 and LDC1314 provide well-matched channels for differential and ratio measurements. Designers can use one channel to compensate for environmental and aging conditions during sensing, such as temperature, humidity, and mechanical drift. Thanks to their ease of use, low energy consumption, and low system cost, these products help designers significantly improve the performance, reliability, and flexibility of existing sensing solutions and introduce new sensing capabilities into products in all markets, especially consumer and industrial applications. Compared with similar sensing technologies, inductive sensing offers higher performance, reliability, and flexibility, as well as lower system cost and power consumption.
LDC1312 and LDC1314 can be easily configured via the I2C interface. The dual-channel LDC1312 comes in a WSON-12 package, and the four-channel LDC1314 comes in a WQFN-16 package.
