Introduction
BL3085 is a half-duplex RS-485 transceiver containing one driver and one receiver.
The BL3085 features a slew-rate-limited driver that significantly reduces EMI and reflections caused by improperly terminated cables, enabling error-free data transmission at up to 500kbps (at 5V supply). The BL3085 incorporates a built-in failsafe circuit that ensures the receiver output remains at a logic high state when the receiver inputs are open or shorted.
The BL3085 receiver input impedance is 1/8 unit load, allowing up to 256 transceivers to be connected on the bus for half-duplex communication. The BL3085 I/O pins provide ±15kV IEC 61000-4-2 contact discharge protection.
