Introduction
.LTH7R is a CC/CV cradle charger management IC, primarily designed for single-cell lithium battery charging. No external sense resistor is required in the application circuit, and since the internal structure uses a MOSFET, no external reverse-blocking diode is needed. .LTH7R can automatically reduce charging current to limit die temperature under high-power and high-ambient-temperature conditions. The charge voltage is fixed at 4.2V, and the charge current is adjustable via a single external resistor. When the float voltage is reached and the charge current drops to 1/10 of the programmed value, .LTH7R automatically terminates the charging process. When the input voltage is removed, .LTH7R automatically enters a low-current mode, drawing less than 5uA from the battery. When .LTH7R enters standby mode, the supply current is less than 70uA. .LTH7R also monitors the charge current, features voltage detection and automatic recharge, and provides a status pin to indicate both charge status and input voltage status.
