Introduction
The TPS2660x devices are a family of feature-rich, compact, high-voltage eFuses with a comprehensive set of protection features. The wide supply input range of 4.2V to 55V enables control across many commonly used DC bus voltages. The devices can withstand and protect loads powered by positive and negative supplies up to ±60V. The integrated back-to-back FETs provide reverse current blocking, making the devices well suited for systems that require output voltage hold-up during power failures and undervoltage conditions. The devices also offer numerous adjustable features for load, supply, and device protection, including overcurrent protection, output slew rate control, overvoltage protection, and undervoltage protection. The robust internal protection control block and high voltage rating of the TPS2660x help simplify system design for surge protection.
The shutdown pin allows external control of the internal FET enable/disable function and can place the device into a low-current shutdown mode. To support system status monitoring and downstream load control, the devices provide fault and precision current monitor outputs. The MODE pin enables flexible device configuration among three current-limiting fault responses: circuit breaker mode, latch mode, and auto-retry mode.
The devices are available in a 5mm×4.4mm, 16-pin HTSSOP package and a 5mm×4mm, 24-pin VQFN package, rated for a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
