Introduction
FM2147 is a high-performance dedicated circuit for residual current devices (RCDs). It integrates a regulated power supply, amplifier circuit, comparator circuit, trip controller, and trip driver circuit. External components include a trip coil, varistor, Zener diode, diode, resistors, and capacitors.
The FM2147 RCD dedicated circuit is used to detect residual current signals on the live and neutral lines. When a leakage signal occurs, the zero-sequence current transformer (ZCT) detects the electrical signal, and its secondary winding output serves as the input to the RCD chip. The leakage signal can be DC, AC type, or Type A (including 0°, 90°, and 135° leakage signals). When the RMS value of the residual current exceeds the rated current (rms) specified for the RCD, the RCD output pin OS generates an action-level pulse with a duration of approximately 30ms.
