Introduction
The MS8313 provides three independently controllable half H-bridge drivers. It can be used to drive solenoids or other loads, but is primarily designed to drive a three-phase brushless DC motor. Each output driver channel contains an N-channel power MOSFET in a half H-bridge configuration. This design connects the ground terminal of each driver to a pin for current sensing on each output. A built-in general-purpose comparator is available for current limiting circuits or other functional circuits. The MS8313 delivers up to 2.5A peak current or 1.75A RMS output current per half H-bridge channel. The device features overcurrent protection, short-circuit protection, undervoltage protection, and overtemperature protection. Offered in a 28-pin thermal enhanced thin small outline package, eTSSOP28.
