Introduction
FM6356/FM6356B is a driver IC specifically designed for full-color LED display applications. The built-in 16-bit shift register converts serial input data into grayscale pixel values for each output channel. The 16 constant-current output channels of FM6356/FM6356B deliver output current unaffected by the load voltage at the output terminals, providing consistent and stable output current independent of PCB variations, with excellent noise immunity. FM6356/FM6356B not only allows output current adjustment via external resistors of different resistance values, but also supports software-controlled channel current gain adjustment for LED display brightness control. FM6356/FM6356B adopts Fumanchu's proprietary EPWM display technology with intelligent PWM functionality, enhancing low-grayscale visual performance. FM6356/FM6356B supports up to 32-scan LED scanning displays. Through technological innovation, it effectively resolves issues such as low-grayscale color blocks, color deviation, mura, first-row dimming, high-contrast coupling, and cross-panel color discrepancy. Via real-time error detection, FM6356/FM6356B can independently detect open-circuit conditions on each individual LED without additional external components. The novel ghost-cross elimination feature addresses erroneous display of surrounding LEDs caused by defective LED pixels. In addition, the built-in blanking/clamping circuit, combined with different configuration bits, significantly enhances blanking/clamping capability, effectively eliminating top/bottom ghosting and text ghosting artifacts. The coupling optimization enhancement feature greatly improves various display defects including cross-panel coupling, high-contrast coupling, and mid-contrast coupling. A black-screen power-saving function further reduces power consumption during black-screen periods.
