TI ISO35TDWR

The ISO35T is an isolated differential line transceiver with an integrated oscillator output for supplying primary-side voltage to an isolation transformer. The device is a full-duplex differential line transceiver designed for RS-485 and RS-422 applications, and can be easily configured for half-duplex operation by connecting pin 11 to pin 14 and pin 12 to pin 13.

These devices are well suited for long transmission lines, where ground loops are broken to provide a significantly greater common-mode voltage range. The device's symmetrical isolation barrier has been tested to provide VDE-compliant 4242V_PK isolation lasting up to 60 seconds between the bus transceiver and logic-level interface.

All wired I/Os are susceptible to electrical transient noise from various sources. If these transients are of sufficient amplitude and duration, they can damage the transceiver and/or adjacent sensitive circuits. The ISO35T significantly reduces the risk of data corruption and costly control circuit damage. The ISO35T is rated for an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
