Introduction
The ADN4650/ADN4651/ADN4652 are signal-isolated low voltage differential signaling (LVDS) buffers with data rates up to 600 Mbps and ultralow jitter. These devices integrate iCoupler technology to enhance high-speed operation, providing current isolation for LVDS drivers and receivers compliant with the TIA/EIA-644-A standard. This technology enables direct isolation of LVDS signal chains. The devices offer multiple channel configurations, with patent-protected LVDS on the ADN4651/ADN4652. The receivers incorporate a built-in failsafe mechanism to ensure that the corresponding LVDS driver output is a logic 1 when the input is floating, shorted, or terminated but undriven. The LVDS and isolation circuitry operate from a 2.5 V supply for high-speed operation and low jitter. An integrated on-chip LDO accepts an external 3.3 V supply to generate the required 2.5 V supply. These devices are rated for the extended industrial temperature range, available in a 20-lead wide-body SOIC package, and feature 5 kV rms isolation.
