Introduction
The 4:1 bidirectional switch is compatible with I2C and SMBus. It features an active-low reset input and three address pins, allowing up to eight PCA9546A devices to be used on the I2C bus in any combination for channel selection via the I2C bus. All switch channels are deselected upon power-up. The low RON switches support voltage level translation between 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, and 5V buses. There is no disturbance upon power-up, and hot insertion is supported. It has a low standby current. The operating supply voltage ranges from 2.3V to 5.5V, with 5.5V-tolerant inputs. It has a clock frequency of 0 to 400kHz. The latch-up performance exceeds 100mA, complying with the JESD 78 specification. The ESD protection performance exceeds the requirements of the JESD 22 specification, with 2000V for the Human Body Model (A114 - A) and 1000V for the Charged Device Model (C101).
