Introduction
Onsemi's AR0135CS is a 1/3-inch, 1.2-megapixel CMOS digital image sensor with an active-pixel array of 1280 (H) × 960 (V). Designed for low-light performance, it features a global shutter for precise motion capture and synchronization with pulsed light sources. It incorporates sophisticated camera functions including auto-exposure control, windowing, binning, row skip mode, and both video and single-frame modes. It can be programmed through a simple two-wire serial interface. The AR0135CS produces extremely clear, sharp images, and its ability to capture both continuous video and single frames makes it ideal for a wide range of applications including scanning and machine vision. The sensor can operate in default mode or be programmed for frame size, exposure, gain, and other parameters. The default mode outputs full-resolution images at 54 frames per second (fps). It outputs 12-bit raw data via parallel or serial (HiSPi) output ports. The device can operate in video (master) mode or frame trigger mode. FRAME_VALID and LINE_VALID signals are output on dedicated pins along with a synchronous pixel clock. A dedicated FLASH pin can be programmed to control external LED or strobe exposure lighting. The sensor is designed to operate over a wide temperature range of -30°C to +80°C.
