Introduction
The Si569 Ultra Series Voltage-Controlled Crystal Oscillator (VCXO) leverages Skyworks Solutions' advanced 4th-generation DSPLL technology to deliver ultra-low jitter, low phase noise clocks at any output frequency. The device is user-programmable via simple I2C commands, supporting output frequencies from 0.2 to 3000 MHz with sub-1 ppb resolution, maintaining ultra-low jitter for both integer and fractional frequencies across its operating range. On-chip power supply filtering provides industry-leading power supply noise rejection, simplifying the generation of low-jitter clocks in noisy systems with switched-mode power supplies. Unlike conventional XOs, the Si569 employs a single crystal combined with a DSPLL IC-based approach to deliver the required output frequency. The Si569 can be factory-configured to a wide range of user specifications, including startup frequency, I2C address, output format, and OE pin polarity/position. Specific configurations are factory-programmed at the time of shipment, eliminating the long lead times associated with custom oscillators. Available package sizes include 5×7 mm, 3.2×5 mm, and 2.5×3.2 mm.
