Introduction
The MC74VHC4051, MC74VHC4052, and MC74VHC4053 utilize silicon-gate CMOS technology to achieve fast propagation delay, low on-resistance, and low off-leakage current. These analog multiplexers/demultiplexers can control analog voltages that vary across the entire power supply range (from VCC to VEE). The channel select inputs determine which analog input/output will be connected to the common output/input through the analog switches. When the enable pin is high, all analog switches are off. The channel select and enable inputs are compatible with standard CMOS outputs; with pull-up resistors, they are compatible with LSTTL outputs. These devices are designed so that the on-resistance (Ron) is more linear over the input voltage range than that of metal-gate CMOS analog switches. The main features include:
