Introduction
NCN5121 is a transceiver IC for KNX twisted-pair networks (KNXTP1-256). It supports connecting actuators, sensors, microcontrollers, switches, or other applications in building networks. NCN5121 handles data transmission and reception on the bus. It regulates voltage from the unregulated bus voltage to meet its own power requirements while supplying power to external devices such as microcontrollers. NCN5121 ensures safe coupling to and decoupling from the bus. During power failure, the bus monitor issues a warning to the external microcontroller so that critical data can be saved in real time.
