The TPS7A92 is a low-noise (4.8μV_RMS), low-dropout (LDO) regulator capable of delivering 2A of load current with a dropout voltage of only 180mV. The TPS7A92 output is adjustable from 0.8V to 5.2V via external resistors. Its wide input voltage range supports operation from as low as 1.4V up to 6.5V. With 1% output voltage accuracy (over the full line, load, and temperature range) and a soft-start feature to reduce inrush current, the TPS7A92 is ideally suited to power sensitive analog low-voltage devices such as VCOs, ADCs, DACs, high-end processors, and FPGAs. The TPS7A92 is designed to power noise-sensitive components in applications such as high-speed communications, video, medical, and test and measurement. The device features ultralow 4.6μV_RMS output noise and wideband PSRR (40dB at 1MHz) to minimize phase noise and clock jitter, maximizing the performance of timing devices, ADCs, and DACs.
