VISOM RSM232

RSM232 is a high-speed, single-channel isolated RS-232 transceiver designed for bidirectional data communication, supporting baud rates up to 115.2 kbps. The transceiver integrates an isolated DC/DC converter internally, enabling electrical isolation between the controller and the RS-232 transceiver from a single supply voltage, with an isolation voltage up to 2500 VDC — eliminating the need for an external isolated power supply and simplifying user application. Full isolation between the control ground and bus ground allows the device to withstand higher common-mode voltages. Integrated ESD protection components pass the IEC 61000-4-2 air discharge test, with HBM ESD protection exceeding ±15 kV. Packaged in a DIP8 dual in-line package, the device offers a compact footprint and high integration density.
