TI TPS61088RHLR

The TPS61088 is a high power density, fully integrated boost converter featuring an 11mΩ power switch and a 13mΩ rectifier switch, providing an efficient, compact solution for portable systems.

The TPS61088 supports a wide input voltage range of 2.7V to 12V, making it suitable for single-cell or two-cell lithium battery applications. The device features 10A switch current capability and can deliver output voltages up to 12.6V.

The TPS61088 employs an adaptive constant off-time peak current control topology to regulate the output voltage. Under moderate to heavy load conditions, the TPS61088 operates in PWM mode. Under light load conditions, one of two operating modes can be selected via the MODE pin. One is PFM mode, which improves efficiency; the other is forced PWM mode, which avoids application issues caused by lower switching frequencies. The PWM mode switching frequency is adjustable from 200kHz to 2.2MHz via an external resistor. The TPS61088 also implements programmable soft-start and adjustable switch peak current limit functions. In addition, the device provides 13.2V output overvoltage protection, cycle-by-cycle overcurrent protection, and thermal shutdown protection.

The TPS61088 is available in a 20-pin 4.50mm×3.50mm VQFN package.
