Introduction
The LM2776 CMOS charge pump voltage converter can invert a positive voltage in the range of 2.7V to 5.5V to obtain a corresponding negative voltage of the same magnitude. The LM2776 can provide an output current of 200mA using only three low-cost capacitors. Compared with inductor-based converters, it solves multiple problems such as cost, size, and electromagnetic interference (EMI). Under most load conditions, the LM2776 has an operating current of only 100μA and an operating efficiency of over 90%, which is ideal for battery-powered systems that require a high-power negative power supply. The LM2776 has always used TI's 6-pin small outline transistor (SOT)-23 package to maintain a compact form factor.
