Introduction
The MCP1415/16 devices are high-speed MOSFET drivers capable of delivering 1.5A peak current. The inverting or non-inverting single-channel output can be directly controlled by TTL or CMOS logic (3V to 18V). Low shoot-through current, matched rise and fall times, and short propagation delays are also features of these devices, making them well suited for high switching frequency applications. The MCP1415/16 devices operate from a 4.5V to 18V single supply and can easily charge and discharge a 1000 pF gate capacitance within 20ns (typical). In both the off and on states, they provide sufficiently low impedance to ensure that the intended state of the MOSFET is not affected even during large transient events. These devices exhibit strong latch-up immunity under any condition within their power and voltage ratings. When ground noise spikes (of either polarity) are less than or equal to 5V, the devices will not be damaged. They can accept reverse currents of up to 500 mA forced back into their output terminals without damage or logic state inversion. All pins are fully ESD protected, capable of withstanding electrostatic discharge up to 2.0 kV (HBM) and 400V (MM).
