Wuxi Chipown Micro-electronics AP5056

AP5056 is a complete single-chip lithium-ion battery constant-current/constant-voltage linear power management IC. Its SOP/MSOP package and minimal external components make it ideal for portable applications, and the AP5056 is specifically designed to comply with USB power supply specifications. Based on an internal MOSFET architecture, no external sense resistors or isolation diodes are required. When the ambient temperature is too high or during high-power operation, thermal feedback automatically adjusts the charge current to reduce the chip temperature. The charge voltage is fixed at 4.2V, and the charge current can be set via an external resistor. When the charge current drops to 1/10 of the programmed value after reaching the final float voltage, the AP5056 will automatically terminate the charge cycle. When the input (adapter or USB power) is removed, the AP5056 automatically enters a low-current state, reducing battery leakage current to below 0.5μA. The AP5056 can also be placed in a shutdown state, reducing supply current to 50μA. Additional features include: battery temperature monitoring, undervoltage lockout, automatic recharge, and two status pins to indicate charge and charge termination.
