Introduction
KP3501A is a non-isolated, highly integrated, low-cost PWM power switch designed for buck and buck-boost circuits. KP3501A adopts a high-voltage single-chip process, integrating a 500V high-voltage MOSFET and a controller with switching peak current mode control on the same die. A highly accurate default 5V output is guaranteed across the full input voltage range. Internally, the minimum Toff time is fixed at 20μs with a frequency dithering function, optimizing EMI performance while maintaining output power. The device also features light-load and heavy-load modes, enabling standby power consumption below 50mW with ease. KP3501A integrates comprehensive protection features: VDD undervoltage lockout, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, abnormal overcurrent protection, overtemperature protection, overload protection, and short-circuit protection.
