The 3.3V HCMS-39xx series is similar to the 5.0V HCMS-29xx series, except that it operates at a lower supply voltage. The two series have identical package dimensions and pin configurations. The product has undergone comprehensive characterization and rigorous reliability testing to ensure superior product quality. Similar to the 5.0V platform, this series consists of high-performance, easy-to-use dot matrix displays driven by onboard CMOS ICs. Each display can interface directly with a microprocessor, eliminating the need for cumbersome interface components. The serial IC interface allows more character information to be displayed using a minimal number of data lines. The easy-to-read 5×7 pixel format supports the display of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, katakana, and user-defined characters. These displays can be cascaded in both the x and y directions, making them ideal for displaying large amounts of characters.
