TS3DV621 is a 1:2 or 2:1 bidirectional multiplexer/demultiplexer featuring 4 integrated sideband control channels (DDC, AUX, CEC, or HPD) signal switching. Operating from a 3V to 3.6V supply, the TS3DV621 provides low, flat on-state resistance and low I/O capacitance, enabling a typical bandwidth of 2.2GHz. This device delivers the high bandwidth required for HDMI, DVI, and DisplayPort applications. The TS3DV621 extends the high-speed physical link interface from a single HDMI port to 2 HDMI ports (Port A or Port B), or vice versa. It can also be used in DisplayPort (DP) transmit/receive applications. The integrated sideband control channels allow 5V signals to pass through, making the TS3DV621 suitable for HDMI applications.

The most common application for the TS3DV621 is in receive configurations. In this scenario, up to 2 sources (DVD players, set-top boxes, or game consoles) can be routed to a single receiver. Unselected ports are placed in high-impedance mode, so the receiver accepts input from only one source at a time. High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) encryption passes through the switch to the receiver for decoding.
