THS6212 is a differential line driver amplifier with a current feedback architecture. This device is purpose-built for wideband power line communication (PLC) line driver applications, operating at speeds sufficient to support 14.5dBm line power transmission at frequencies up to 30MHz. The THS6212 employs a unique architecture that achieves ultra-high linearity while minimizing quiescent current. Differential distortion at full bias is –86dBc at 1MHz, dropping to just –71dBc at 10MHz. This amplifier offers multiple fixed bias settings, enabling significant power savings for line driver applications that do not require full amplifier performance. Additionally, bias current can be further reduced via the adjustable current pin (IADJ), providing even greater flexibility and energy efficiency. A wide output swing of 49VPP (100Ω differential load) combined with a 28V supply and current drive capability exceeding 650mA (25Ω load) gives the device ample dynamic headroom to keep distortion as low as possible. The THS6212 is available in a 24-pin VQFN package.
