Introduction
The TPS3809 series supervisory circuits primarily provide circuit initialization and timing supervision for DSP and processor-based systems. The new TLV809E device is a drop-in replacement with identical pinout, functionality, and electrical specifications. During power-up, RESET is asserted when the supply voltage VDD exceeds 1.1V. The supervisory circuit monitors VDD and holds RESET in the asserted state as long as VDD remains below the threshold voltage VIT. An internal timer delays the output from returning to the deasserted state (logic high) to ensure proper system reset. The delay time td(typ) = 200ms, measured from when VDD rises above the threshold voltage VIT. When the supply voltage drops below the threshold voltage VIT, the output is asserted again (logic low). No external components are required. All devices in this series feature a fixed detection threshold voltage VIT set by an internal voltage divider.
