Introduction
3-pin SOT-23 package, 9μA (typical) supply current, precision power supply voltage monitor: 2.5V, 3V, 3.3V, 5V, pin-to-pin compatible with MAX 809, temperature range: -40°C to +85°C. The TPS3809 series supervisory circuits are primarily designed to provide circuit initialization and timing supervision for DSP and processor-based systems. The new TLV809E device is a drop-in replacement with identical pinout, functionality, and electrical specifications. During power-up, if the supply voltage VDD exceeds 1.1V, RESET is asserted. Therefore, as long as VDD remains below the threshold voltage VΠ, the supervisory circuit monitors VDD and holds RESET in the active state. An internal timer delays the return of the output to the inactive state (high level) to ensure proper system reset. The delay time td(typ) = 200ms, measured from when VDD rises above the threshold voltage VΠ. When the supply voltage falls below the threshold voltage VΠ, the output returns to the active state (low level). No external components are required. All devices in this series have a fixed detection threshold voltage VΠ set by an internal voltage divider. This product family is designed for use with 2.5V, 3V, 3.3V, and 5V supply voltages. All devices are available in a 3-pin SOT-23 package. The TPS3809 devices operate over a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
