4Discovery is a high-resolution 480x320 pixel 3.5-inch intelligent wall-mount display product from 4D Systems, powered by the DIABLO16 processor. It is designed to mount into a standard light switch recessed/mounting box, or directly onto a panel or wall. This versatile mounting approach enables quick and easy installation virtually anywhere — walls, enclosures, or panels — making this display product accessible to a wide range of customers. The display and peripherals are driven by the DIABLO16 processor, a powerful IC capable of standalone operation and programmable using the 4D Systems Workshop4 IDE software. Since the IDE is purpose-built for 4D graphics processors, it enables rapid and straightforward development of graphical solutions. The 4Discovery features a comprehensive set of capabilities, including a 3.5-inch 320x480 TFT LCD display, resistive touch, microSD card storage, a 2-wire RS485 interface (operable as master or slave via an additional converter cable), a switch-mode power supply supporting a wide input voltage range, and more. In principle, any program designed for a PICASO or DIABLO16 module can run on the 4Discovery with minimal modification.
