The VO4154 and VO4156 consists of a GaAs IRLE D optically coupled to a photosensitive zero crossing TRIA C packaged in a DIP-6 package. High input sensitivity is achieved by using an emitte r follower phototransistor and a cascaded SCR predrive r resulting in an LED trigger current of 1.6 m A for bin D, 2 m A for bin H, and 3 m A for bin M. The phototriac zero crossing family uses a proprietary dV/d t clamp resulting in a static dV/dt of greater than 5 k V/μs. The VO4154 and VO4156 isolates low-voltage logic fro m 120 V A C, 240 V A C, and 380 V A C lines to control resistive, inductive, or capacitive loads including motors, solenoids, high current thyristors or TRIAC and relays.
