The SCXL-MaxSonar-WR/WRC sensor series features effective self-cleaning functionality, designed to reduce the effects of condensation in enclosed or high-humidity environments (dew, frost, etc.). This sensor is a cost-effective solution for applications requiring precise ranging, low-voltage operation, space savings, low cost, self-cleaning, and IP67 weatherproof rating. This sensor component module enables users currently relying on other more expensive precision rangefinders to reduce system costs without sacrificing performance. The series provides high-accuracy, high-resolution ultrasonic proximity detection and ranging in air, featuring 1mm resolution, target size and operating voltage compensation for improved accuracy, excellent external noise source rejection, internal acoustic velocity temperature compensation, and optional external acoustic velocity temperature compensation. Models are available in 5-meter or 10-meter range variants; the ultrasonic sensor can detect objects from 30cm to the maximum range, with objects closer than 30cm typically reported as 30cm. Interface output formats include pulse width, analog voltage, and digital serial (RS232 or TTL). Factory calibration is standard.
