Introduction
The MAX-M8 series modules are based on a high-performance GNSS engine in a proven form factor. The module can receive up to three global navigation satellite systems simultaneously. It delivers good positioning accuracy in urban canyons or weak signal environments, with high performance at low power levels. To enable better and faster position fixes, the module supports multiple augmentation systems. The module supports message integrity protection, geofencing, and spoofing detection, along with configurable interface settings for easy adaptation to customer applications. The form factor facilitates migration from previous series modules. Combining a high level of integration with flexible connectivity options in a compact package, the module is ideal for industrial applications with stringent size and cost requirements. The compatible Display Data Channel interface provides connectivity and enables interoperability with most cellular modules. The module can also benefit from assisted services, where online services provide navigation satellite broadcast parameters to significantly reduce Time-To-First-Fix and improve acquisition sensitivity. Extended validity periods for offline and autonomous data enable faster acquisition after prolonged power-off periods.
