The HCMS-29xx series are high-performance, easy-to-use dot matrix displays driven by on-board CMOS ICs. Each display interfaces directly with a microprocessor, eliminating the need for complex interface components. The serial IC interface enables high character count message display using a minimum number of data lines. Multiple colors, font heights, and character counts give designers a wide range of product options to meet their specific application requirements. The easy-to-read 5×7 pixel format supports display of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, katakana, and user-defined characters. These displays can be stacked in both x and y directions, making them ideal for high character count display applications.
