Introduction
The ADX112(Q) is a precision, low-power, 16-bit ADC that provides all the features needed to measure the most common sensor signals in a compact MSOP-10 or ultra-small leadless QFN-10 package. The ADX112(Q) integrates a programmable gain amplifier (PGA), voltage reference, oscillator, and high-precision temperature sensor. These features, combined with a wide supply voltage range of 2V to 5.5V, make the ADX112(Q) ideal for power-constrained and space-constrained sensor measurement applications. The ADX112(Q) can perform conversions at data rates up to 860 SPS. The PGA offers input ranges from ±256mV to ±6.144V, enabling high-resolution measurement of both large and small signals. The input multiplexer (MUX) allows measurement of two differential or four single-ended inputs. The high-precision temperature sensor can be used for system-level temperature monitoring or thermocouple cold-junction compensation. The ADX112(Q) can operate in continuous-conversion mode or single-shot mode, in which the device automatically powers down after each conversion. Single-shot mode significantly reduces current consumption during idle periods. Data is transferred via SPI. The ADX112(Q) is rated for operation over a temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
