Introduction
The TSOP311.., TSOP313.., and TSOP315.. series are miniature receivers for IR remote control systems. A PIN diode and a preamplifier are assembled on a lead frame, with an IR filter integrated in the epoxy package. The demodulated output signal can be directly connected to a microprocessor for decoding. The TSOP313.. series devices are optimized to suppress virtually all spurious pulses from energy-saving lamps (such as compact fluorescent lamps). With continuous transmission, AGC3 may also suppress some data signals. The TSOP311.. series is primarily intended for compatibility with legacy AGC1 designs. New designs should preferably use the TSOP313.. series, which incorporates the newer AGC3. The TSOP315.. series features a highly robust AGC5, and is intended solely for use in severely noisy environments. These components are not qualified to automotive specifications.
