Introduction
The LoRa wireless module is a long-range, low-data-rate radio modem based on the Semtech SX1276. It is a low-cost sub-GHz transceiver module designed to operate in unlicensed ISM (Industrial, Scientific and Medical) and LPRD frequency bands. Spread spectrum modulation/demodulation, multi-channel operation, high bandwidth efficiency, and anti-blocking performance make the LoRa module easy to implement robust and reliable wireless links.
The module can operate in two different modes: Standard Mode and Star Network Mode. In Standard Mode, it functions as a transparent data radio modem, communicating with the host in a preset data format without encoding/decoding. In Star Network Mode, one module is configured as the central node while the other modules are set as node modules. Communication between the central module and node modules is bidirectional, but node modules cannot communicate with each other. Please note that this module does not include the LoRaWAN protocol. Therefore, the star network functionality of this module uses its own proprietary protocol and is not compatible with LoRaWAN.
