Introduction
The high-performance ADXL350 is a small, thin, low-power 3-axis accelerometer with high resolution (13-bit) and selectable measurement ranges up to ±8g. The ADXL350 delivers industry-leading noise and temperature performance, ensuring application robustness with minimal calibration effort. Digital output data is in 16-bit two's complement format, accessible via SPI (3-wire or 4-wire) or I2C digital interfaces.
The ADXL350 is ideally suited for high-performance portable applications. It can measure static gravitational acceleration in tilt-sensing applications, as well as dynamic acceleration resulting from motion or shock. With high resolution (2mg/LSB), it is capable of resolving tilt changes of less than 1.0°.
The device offers multiple special detection functions. Activity and inactivity detection functions detect the presence or absence of motion and whether acceleration on any axis exceeds a user-set threshold. Tap detection can identify single-tap and double-tap events. Free-fall detection determines whether the device is in free fall. These functions can be mapped to either of two interrupt output pins.
Low-power modes enable motion-based intelligent power management, allowing threshold sensing and motion acceleration measurement at extremely low power consumption.
The ADXL350 is available in a 3mm×4mm×1.2mm, 16-lead small cavity laminate package.
