The ADM7160 is an ultralow noise, low dropout linear regulator that operates from a 2.2 V to 5.5 V supply with a maximum output current of 200 mA. The dropout voltage of only 150 mV at 200 mA load not only improves efficiency but also allows the device to operate over a wide input voltage range. The ADM7160 uses a novel circuit topology to achieve ultralow noise performance without the need for a bypass capacitor, making it ideal for noise-sensitive analog front-end and RF applications. The ADM7160 delivers ultralow noise performance without compromising PSRR or line and load transient response. Current limiting and thermal overload protection circuits prevent the device from damage under adverse conditions. The EN input pin of the ADM7160 also has a built-in pull-down resistor. The ADM7160 is specifically designed to operate stably with small 1 μF, ±30% ceramic input and output capacitors, meeting the requirements of high-performance, space-constrained applications. The ADM7160 is available in compact 5-pin TSOT and 6-pin LFCSP packages, offering 16 fixed output voltage options ranging from 1.1 V to 3.3 V. The LFCSP provides an ultracompact solution with excellent thermal performance, supporting up to 200 mA output current in small, low-profile board space applications.
