Introduction
The AD9649 is a single-channel, 1.8 V powered, 14-bit, 20/40/65/80 MSPS analog-to-digital converter (ADC). It features a high-performance sample-and-hold circuit and an on-chip voltage reference. This product uses a multi-stage differential pipelined architecture and has output error correction logic, providing 14-bit accuracy at a data rate of 80 MSPS and guaranteeing no missing codes over the entire operating temperature range.
This ADC includes several features designed to maximize flexibility and minimize system cost, such as programmable clock and data alignment and programmable digital test pattern generation. Available digital test patterns include built-in deterministic and pseudo-random patterns, as well as custom user-defined test patterns input via the Serial Port Interface (SPI). The differential clock input has optional divide-by-1, 2, or 4 ratios to control all internal conversion cycles. Digital output data is presented in offset binary, Gray code, or two's complement format. A Data Output Clock (DCO) is provided to ensure correct latching timing with the receiving logic. It supports both 1.8 V and 3.3 V CMOS levels.
The AD9649 comes in a 32-lead RoHS-compliant LFCSP package and is specified over the industrial temperature range (-40°C to +85°C).
