The LinkSwitch-LP switcher IC offers a cost-effective replacement for non-regulated isolated linear transformer-based power supplies (50/60Hz) with output power up to 3W. Its universal input voltage design enables a single worldwide design to replace multiple region-specific linear transformer-based power supply designs. A self-powered circuit achieves ultra-low no-load power consumption of less than 150mW. Internal oscillator frequency modulation significantly reduces quasi-peak and average EMI, lowering filter costs.
