This is a simple touch sensor module that can be used as a replacement for traditional buttons. The module uses a TTP223-B touch detection IC to measure the capacitance of a metal pad. It detects capacitance changes when a finger approaches — the same technology used in iPhone touchscreens. As a result, the metal pad can be placed beneath non-metallic surfaces such as plastic or glass and still function like a button, which can be useful for projects requiring waterproofing. You can also cleverly position it behind a smooth surface to create a hidden button. For example, placing them under a non-metallic card table allows you to mysteriously control your DIY project by casually pressing the correct spot on the table.
