Ultrasonic sensors emit ultrasonic pulses and calculate the distance between the sensor and the target object by measuring the time it takes for the pulse to reach the object and return to the transducer. They are widely used for detecting displacement, thickness, distance, water level, material level, and transparent objects. The URM06 - UART Ultrasonic Sensor provides short-to-long range detection and ranging from 20cm to 10m, housed in a compact, rugged PVC enclosure compatible with 35mm electrical conduit mounting. It features a UART interface and operates at high output acoustic power. This ultrasonic sensor can detect objects within a range of 20cm to 1000cm and provides distance information with a resolution of 1cm. The URM06 has a beam angle of 15 degrees with excellent reception sensitivity, performing best when detecting soft targets.
