Introduction
LMR23630-Q1 SIMPLE SWITCHER is an easy-to-use 36V, 3A synchronous buck regulator. The device features a wide input range of 4V to 36V, making it suitable for voltage regulation of unregulated power supplies across applications ranging from industrial to automotive. Peak current mode control is employed for simple control loop compensation and cycle-by-cycle current limiting. With quiescent current as low as 75μA, the device is well suited for battery-powered systems. Internal loop compensation eliminates the tedious task of designing loop compensation components, while also minimizing external component count. The device also features a constant-frequency FPWM mode for reduced output voltage ripple at light loads. The device family offers 1A (LMR23610-Q1), 1.5A (LMR23615-Q1), and 2.5A (LMR23625-Q1) load current options in pin-to-pin compatible packages, enabling simple and optimized PCB layout. A precision enable input simplifies regulator control and system power sequencing. Protection features include cycle-by-cycle current limiting, hiccup mode short-circuit protection, and thermal shutdown triggered by excessive power dissipation.
