The 52202 transmission module supports read/write mode for ISO/IEC 14443 A, enabling the use of various transmission speeds and modulation protocols. The contactless UART of the 52202 and a dedicated external host must manage the complete ISO/IEC 14443 A protocol. The internal CRC coprocessor calculates CRC values in accordance with ISO/IEC 14443 A Part 3, and handles parity generation internally based on the transmission rate. Automatic parity generation can be disabled using the ParityDisable bit of the ManualRCVReg register. The 52202 supports direct host connection via SPI, I²C, or serial UART interfaces. After power-on or hard reset, the 52022 resets its interface and automatically detects the current host interface type. The 52202 identifies the host interface by detecting the logic levels of the control pins following the reset phase. A serial peripheral interface (SPI-compatible) is supported for high-speed communication with the host, with interface data rates up to 10 Mbit/s. In SPI communication, the 52022 operates as a slave, receiving register configuration data from the external host and transmitting/receiving data related to RF interface communication.
