WCH CH213K

CH213 is a low-dropout ideal diode IC with integrated current limiting. It incorporates overcurrent protection, short-circuit protection, over-temperature protection, and power polarity protection. Rated for 5V×0.5A operation, it supports DC applications up to 1A at 5V. When overcurrent occurs at the VO output, the IC limits the current to protect the power supply system; when the input power polarity is reversed, it protects the load circuit at the VO output. The CH213 is functionally equivalent to a Schottky diode combined with a resettable fuse, but offers lower forward voltage drop and faster overcurrent protection response.

• Integrated power switch with typical on-resistance of 160mΩ.
• Low turn-on voltage and low forward voltage drop; typical voltage drop of 32mV at 200mA.
• Supports up to approximately 1A conduction current at 5V, with a current limit of approximately 1.3A.
• Operating supply voltage range: 2.2V to 5.5V.
• Fast overcurrent protection with a typical 20μs response time during output overcurrent or short circuit.
• When input power polarity is reversed, the die shuts down to protect the load circuit at the output.
• Low power consumption with typical quiescent current of 4μA.
• No reverse conduction current when the die is in the off state.
• Available in SOT23-3, SOT23-6, and DFN6 packages.
