GM6503 is a very small, high-efficiency synchronous 3A step-down DC/DC power module operating from an input supply of 2.5V to 5.5V. The power module uses peak current mode control with internal compensation at a fixed switching frequency of 3MHz, with a minimum switch-on time as low as 22ns, achieving fast transient response through small external components. The GM6503 operates in low-noise forced continuous mode, making it ideal for powering systems with strict requirements on supply ripple amplitude. The GM6503 supports a low-power operating mode with high efficiency at light loads, suitable for applications with wide load range variations. The device regulates output voltage down to 500mV with ±1% accuracy. Additional features include power good, output overvoltage protection, short-circuit protection, thermal shutdown, and 100% duty cycle operation. The device is available in a 10-pin 2.0mm × 2.5mm × 1.3mm LGA package with an exposed pad for low thermal resistance.
