JSMSEMI TP4054

TP4054 is a constant-current/constant-voltage cradle charger IC, primarily designed for single-cell lithium battery charging. No external sense resistor is required. Its internal MOSFET architecture eliminates the need for an external blocking diode. TP4054 automatically reduces the charging current to limit die temperature under high power and high ambient temperature conditions. The charge voltage is fixed at 4.2V, and the charge current can be adjusted by an external resistor. When the float voltage is reached and the charge current drops to 1/10 of the set value, TP4054 automatically terminates the charging process. When the input voltage is removed, TP4054 automatically enters a low-current mode, drawing less than 2uA from the battery. When TP4054 enters standby mode, the supply current is less than 25uA. TP4054 also monitors the charging current, features voltage detection and automatic recharge capability, and provides a status output pin to indicate charge termination status and input voltage status.
