Introduction
AD6208S is a single-channel DC bidirectional motor driver IC featuring an integrated full-bridge power MOS driver with built-in clamp diodes for dissipating reverse surge current from inductive loads. The circuit consists of a logic section and a power output section. The logic section controls forward rotation, reverse rotation, stop, and braking of the motor, while the power output section can continuously deliver up to 100mA of current based on logic control.
Features
- Wide operating supply voltage range: 4.5V ~ 18V
- Low standby current when inputs A and B are low: 0.4mA
- Built-in power transistors, maximum continuous output current: 100mA
- Inputs compatible with TTL/CMOS logic levels, excellent noise immunity
- Built-in protection diodes for surge current absorption
- Braking applicable when inputs A and B are high, forcing motor to stop
- SOP-8 package
Applications
- DVD players
- Cassette recorder bi-directional motors
- Camera IR-CUT filter drivers
